Almost Six Month Old

Singing in my little office.

Yams. Fine too, I suppose.

Thank you Auntie Miranda, for my new best friend, the FLATOUT bear. Now I'm cool like all the celebrity kids! (Don't worry, Sophie, I still love you.)

iPood. Now change me. Thanks Aunt Jen and Uncle Matt. :)

Auntie Ana and Baby Em Visits

Yesterday afternoon, Auntie Ana visited and brought Baby Em with her. She's 5 months old and cute as a button. Em even knows to stick out her tongue at me. They brought some delicious baked good and home-made chocolates. Yummy...

They even brought J a Sophie la Girafe toy. Thanks guys!!

Stylin' and Playin'

Baby J was stylin' and playin' today... After a pretty good night's sleep, he was alert and looking for action this morning. So mommy put him in a brand new outfit which Auntie Poopsie brought from Chicago...

And he hung out in the aquarium which Great Uncle Bobby, Auntie Ceci, Auntie Jenn, and Uncle Adrian bought for him. He looked to be enjoying him time (albeit short period until he got hungry)...

Goodies from Chicago

Auntie Poopsie brought with her lots of goodies from The Red Balloon Co. in Chicago.

First there were the great outfits and swadding blankets...

And then there was the wonderful storybook and Rubber Duckie squeeze toy:

Finally, there is also the comfy towel/blanket for bathtime (which we are super excited about)...

Thanks to Auntie Poopsie, Uncle Aaron-the-Boy, Auntie Erin-the-Girl, Uncle Peter, and Auntie Krista.

Thanks to Auntie Poopsie and also to Uncle Wil

J had some great awake time today so I figured he could use some sit-up time. The neck pillow from Uncle Wil came in handy to keep J's head upright, and the Lulla Blanket from Auntie Poopsie kept him warm (it's so soft and reminds me of my blankie).

Glider

During the first week, Ducks has been complaining of backpain while feeding J. The problem is that we don't really have a good, comfortable chair in the house for her. So we finally caved in and visited our favourite baby store (they really should be loving us by now) and found a wonderful glider on sale.

We initially said that we did not want to get one of those typical gliders, and opted for something that matched our decor. After sitting in this chair, we decided that it was well worth the design contradiction (or maybe it's our lack of sleep clouding our judgement). It did help that the colour of the chair is black and cream (rather than the typical oak colour ... blech). The chair and ottoman are made of maple and fairly lightweight, so I was able to put it into Grand-mama's SUV and carry it upstairs.

When my mom first heard about Letty's backpain, she had also recommended that we get a good chair. Coincidentally, she offered to get a glider for us. So thanks to Grandma for getting the chair...
